FAQ
1. What is a dough sheeter, and why do I need one?
A dough sheeter is a machine designed to roll out dough evenly and efficiently, saving time and ensuring consistency. It’s perfect for home use, bakeries, pizzerias, and pastry shops, making dough preparation faster and more precise.
2. What types of dough can I use with a dough sheeter?
Our dough sheeters work great with various types of dough, including:
✅Pastry dough (croissants, puff pastry)
✅Pizza dough
✅Bread dough and prosphora dough (special holy bread of the Orthodox Church)
✅Fondant and pasta dough
✅Empanada dough
✅For dumplings and khinkali
✅For hard dough, including chilled
✅For gingerbread and cookies (sticky and delicate dough may require special mats, film or parchment paper to prevent the dough from sticking to the machine rollers)
3. What is the difference between a manual and an automatic dough sheeter?
- Manual Dough Sheeter: Requires manual operation, but does not require electricity. The rollers rotate by hand quite easily, without much effort. Check out our many customer videos
- Automatic Dough Sheeter: Uses an electric motor to roll out dough easily and quickly, ideal for high-volume kitchens. You always have both hands free to hold or guide the dough
4. How do I choose the right dough sheeter for my needs?
Consider the following:
✅ Production volume - How heavy are your dough pieces and the production volume. Our automatic machines are designed to work with pieces that weigh no more than 1.5 kg. If you need to roll out large volumes of dough, you should divide them into parts no more than 1.5 kg each at a time, otherwise the motor power may not be enough to roll out heavier pieces!
✅ Available space - Our dough rolling machines are great for small kitchens, they are almost unique in their kind. They are perfect for both home use and for mini bakeries or small businesses. To choose a model, pay attention to their overall dimensions and compare with how much space you have on your table.
✅ Dough type - Almost any type of dough, but keep in mind that one time is not enough to roll out the dough. You need to pass the dough through the dough rolling machine several times, usually at least 4-5 times. You gradually reduce the thickness to the desired one by rolling the dough in different positions of the handle several times until you reach the thickness you need.

5. Are your dough sheeters easy to clean?
Yes! Our machines are easy to clean. Some models have removable trays for quick maintenance. Since the work surface is made of stainless steel, you can wipe the rollers and surface with any detergents and disinfectants without fear of damaging the surface. However, keep in mind that hard or sharp scrapers, as well as their abrasive surface, can scratch stainless steel. Keep this in mind when choosing a sponge or cloth for cleaning and wiping the surface. Although the machine rollers are not removable, the large gap between the rollers opens access for wiping the rollers manually. (To do this, set the thickness switching knob to the maximum position, i.e. in which the gap between the shafts is maximum). It is not allowed to wash any machine in running water.
6. How to maintain a dough sheeter?
🧼 Daily maintenance tips:
Wipe the rollers and surfaces after each use to remove any flour or dough residue.
Remove excess flour and dough deposits from the sheeter body and trays.
Once every six months, open the side cover and, if necessary, remove any flour that has gotten in and lubricate the moving parts (gear, chain) as recommended in the manual. Once a month if used very intensively.
